For me, this video perfectly captures why I dusted off my old iPod Classic a few months ago. Tired of seeing songs randomly disappear from my "owned" Spotify playlists when licensing deals change. Sure, manually managing MP3s takes more work upfront, but at least the music actually lives on my device now without having to connect it to the internet every few days.

I have been very sceptical about any big corporation since about my 20s and it reliefs me now, that i never bought into any golden cage (as much as comfortably possible).
