The Soviets weren’t very popular at the time in most of Europe, especially in the parts the Soviets drove the Germans away from, so I doubt people would have admitted to that, even if they thought it to be true.

I also think it isn’t quite true. Leaving out a lot of nuance I would say “American industry and Russian blood”
