Nokia has had something similar for a while now where the sensor readout was fast enough to prevent the roller shutter effect. Either way this was never a huge issue for photographers since you could always fall back to using mechanical shutters.

The more interesting part of this camera is whether this is a trend towards photography being the process of extracting a frame from a video rather than taking a series of shots.
