Dollar cost averaging was how I managed to stay sane...


Having historically mostly worked for third-tier companies in the past (including some in the SF Bay Area), stock options were never something I calculated into my total comp. I expected them to go to zero (and they have!) It was always funny to me watching actually good engineers go to work for high-paying (I.E. actually listed on levels.fyi) employers and talk about their TC, which was like 50% stock options.


it was a good 10 year run
