it's mostly only accessible to folks who are part of the Recurse Center - but there are public events at Recurse such as https://luma.com/localhost-rcade -- which is a talk about the RCade..! (it seems to be waitlist-only at this point unfortunately)
If anyone wants to attend but can't, we'll post the recording of the talk to the Recurse Center's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@RecurseCenter (Where you can also watch recordings of all of our previous talks!)
Something tells me that this was all predetermined prior to hegseth throwing a fit. That was just bullshit theatre to justify government handouts I’m to OpenAI. I dunno. I don’t make the decisions.
Sovereign citizenry is such a strange thing to me. It’s all the parts of a conspiracy theory with none of the interesting things like aliens or lizard people. No those are replaced with strange interpretations of laws and ordinances.
It's not strange really, it's tax evasion with an addition of larping to not feel bad. Oppressive government is in fact out there, but you feel that you can neither challenge nor escape it, so it's just that -- sublimation of sorts
moltbook came out, what January 28 or something like that? three weeks later we start getting arxiv submissions which i assume are submitted to some journal. i am sorry but i call foul. there cannot be enough time to have had interesting thoughts on the topic that could evolve into a publishable paper. like what is the point of getting something out so quickly without any time for ideas to gestate? there is nothing important about moltbook that will some how solve a societal crisis or produce some kind of medical breakthrough that necessitates how fast a paper about moltbook should be sent out. might as well post "first post" on slashdot.
