As far as I know analog devices still makes some ones-complement Analog to Digital Converters. But I don't know of any modern processor that uses them.

AMD has lost their edge. They used to compete with low priced processors that were pretty much matched, within a few percent, with Intel's offerings. With their newest flagship Bulldozer processors retailing at 279.00 you can save yourself $60.00 and go with the a Intel i5-2500k and have nearly the same performance. The AMDs may do well in highly multithreaded scenarios, but their single core performance isn't stellar.

Yea, they compensate by having twice the cores with each pair sharing a floating-point units, which works differently than Intel's HT used in Sandy Bridge. Basically which will be better depends on the workload.

I think one of the comments on the original article sums up my thoughts:

"Why? You don't think the fact that a majority of the US
population is superstitious, and teaches their offspring that the world is the pet project of a master magician might have anything to do with it?"

It's only going to get worse. Just look at all the efforts to stop evolution from being taught in schools, and, in at least one state, to make it illegal for teachers to grade answers as incorrect if the answer is supported by the religious beliefs of the student.

I couldn't agree more. Pictures of food are really not very useful. If the pages contained actual information, maybe the recipe (some pages do) then this might be useful. Also, I think some type of search is absolutely necessary.

You are right about searching, definitely on the todo list. Thanks.
