2020: CNC machining automation consulting
2007-2020: Machinist with increasing levels of responsibility, focused mostly on prototyping of robotics systems. Started or restarted 3 machine shops, taught hobbyists and early career machinists, some consulting for other shops. Additionally held management positions of increasing responsibility with between 20 and 100 direct or indirect reports.
2002-2006: Two deployments with the US Army. Highest rank, Sergeant. Earned an award for teaching myself how combat communications systems operate, which enabled me to keep our unit on mission with high uptime ( which was outside my specialty/assigned duties). Lead and trained a small team.
2000-2001: Wrote a Windows application in C++ as a contractor.
1999-2000: Rewrote a Windows application that was a DOS application, that managed contract details about individuals ( time off, etc) for an organization with multiple unions. Additionally, supported web dev team by fixing / debugging backend and administered OpenBSD web server.
